Roads, Transport and Public works Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has hailed the Kenya Ports Authority for streamlining operations at the Likoni Ferry Crossing channel since the Kenya Ferry Service was amalgamated with KPA.
Murkomen was among the ferry passengers today when he travelled to Kwale to inspect roads in the region.
“I spoke with our men and women who operate the key mode of transport linking Mombasa with the South Coast. They cited the need to expand the ramp to ease movement ‘’, he revealed on his social media page.

The CS was expecting roads in Kwale and Diani Airport after his yesterday`s tour of Kinango constituency.
Since KPA took over, it has put in place a raft of measures to reduce congestion and seal revenue loopholes. Some of the noticeable changes introduced are an automated payment system, automatic barrier gates, and well-marked roads
According to KPA Managing Director, Captain (Capt.) William Ruto, the 24-hour ferry service complements road transport.
