KENYANS, particularly fans of John Junior, are demanding an apology from Citizen TV for mistakenly referring to John Junior as an Ohangla artist instead of a Rhumba musician.

The agitated fans view this mischaracterization as an insult, citing the distinct differences between the two genres and feeling disrespected by the mislabeling of their favorite artist.

The controversy erupted after Citizen TV aired a story inaccurately describing John Junior’s music style and referring to an event as “Ramogi Night” rather than its correct name, “Nyadhi Festival.”

The festival was organized to celebrate John Junior’s 15 years in the music industry, making the misnomer particularly grievous to his supporters.

Fans took to Citizen TV’s official Facebook page to express their dissatisfaction, standing firm in their demands for the correct information to be disseminated.

They insist that calling John Junior an Ohangla artist misrepresents his work and misleads viewers about the nature of his music.
