In the latest incident, a stranger reportedly maneuvered his way into the institution in the middle of the night and sexually assaulted a female student.
The victim Faizah Juma while narrating the shocking incident said the intruder mysteriously gained access into her room and touched her inappropriately.
She was dead asleep when she was woken to the horror of a man working his hands through her body.
Faizah said , she screamed and the man ran into hiding only to emerge a few minutes later to claim that he was a security guard.
But the terrified student made a distress call that attracted her male comrades who arrested the suspected rapist and handed him over to the security guards manning the institution.
It emerged during the protest that thieves from outside are having a field day at the poorly secured campus, mostly targeting electronic gadgets.
The students lamented that they were on their own since the management of the institution does not care about their security.
‘’ The campus has no proper fence, something that has led to disappearance of our laptops, church instruments and rape attempt against our female students, ‘’ one of the student leaders protested.
