Campaign to unite Ruto, Raila supporters Kicks off

Leaders from President William Ruto`s Rift Valley backyard and Raila Odinga`s   Nyanza stronghold have come together to push for a solid unity between the two communities.

Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii who is spearheading the noble campaign observed that the Luos and their Kalenjin counterparts are all Nilotes, therefore should not live as enemies.

The governor made the remarks during a Church service in Asembo, Rarieda constituency, Siaya County.

He urged the Luo political class to support the Kenya Kwanza government and revealed President Ruto is likely to back up a Luo Presidency at the end of his term in office.

In reaction, Information, Communication and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary, Eliud Owalo assured that Nyanza region had embraced Ruto`s presidency adding the locals were willing to support him for a second term in the office.

The CS noted that the positive attitude of the Kenya Kwanza government has seen Raila`s backyard benefit from a number of projects and lucrative government appointments.

The public service cum thanksgiving ceremony was also attended by former Eldoret Mayor Joseph Magut, former Kenya Pipeline MD George Okungu among other leaders from both Rift Valley and Nyanza regions.

 Archbishop Zephania Ajulu who presided over the service preached unity and harmony between the two communities .
