The new facility located next to the hostels and catering department is a result of the institution’s collaboration with ChildFund, an international children’s charity and lake region development program.
ChildFund is a child-focused international development organization that provides assistance to children facing poverty and other challenges in 24 countries, including the United States.
According to their website, ‘’We connect people, institutions and resources to help children in 24 countries beat the toughest obstacles in their lives because they need us, and we need them. We need each other, every single one of us. ‘’
On the other hand, the Lake Region Development programme is a Rongo based national charitable organization that collaborates with government line ministries and other like-minded partners to empower children, families and communities to use available resources and opportunities for sustainable development.
